A British mother has revealed why she chose to move from the UK to California - and why she's not looked back since.
Ellis Cochlin, 24, moved to Orange County, California, from Newport, Wales, with her daughter and her partner two years ago.
The family-of-three decided to pack up their bags and relocate to the States because the thought of raising a family in rainy Britain 'stressed' Ellis out.
The content creator also made the decision because she believes it will give her two-year-old daughter 'more opportunities' compared to what she would receive back home.
Talking onInstagram, Ellis opened up on why she made the move, saying it was 'to make a better life for ourselves.'
She said: 'Not everyone will understand this and that's ok not everyone has to. The world would be crazy if we all did the same thing.'
The mother-of-one also said that she wants her family to 'chase the American dream that everyone thinks is dead.'
Ellis explained: 'I love the idea of the American dream even if it's crazy. I love the idea of no dream being too big or too small.'

The mother-of-one said that she doesn't feel silly for having 'dreams and goals' in America and that she wants to 'try and build a better life' in the States.
Ellis also said that she is currently experiencing 'a life we could never get in the UK', thanks to frequent sunshine, warm weather, and sandy beaches.
'Orange County is the best place on this planet, it's just a little bubble of happiness,' she said.
'You just don't get these days like this in the UK, especially in March. This type of lifestyle is what makes me happy, is what makes me relaxed, being by the sea and the beach.'
In another clip, Ellis said that she thinks living by the sea and swimming often has made her child 'love the water'.
However, the family might not stay in America forever. Ellis said that they could head back to the UK in the future after they've explored what Orange County 'has to offer'.

One wrote: 'I'd take clouds and rain any day when it comes with free healthcare, maternity leave, and no guns. I'm from Greece and I've in both America and the UK and I'm a lot happier in the UK.'
Another penned: 'I couldn't think of a place I'd want to live less than the US right now.'
A third said: 'This is such a wrong representation of the UK, which is a beautiful place and has so much to offer.'
A fourth commented: 'You filmed the greyest days in the UK and the sunniest days in the US, what a great comparison.'
Elsewhere, Ellis revealed that she lives in a Homeowners Association (HOA) area where there are certain rules that neighbours must follow, such as keeping their grass trimmed to ensure each property looks tidy.
If homeowners want to update their houses, such as painting the outside of their home, they must seek permission from HOA first.
Ellis said that she calls her neighbourhood a 'Wisteria Lane dupe' because all the picturesque houses look like they could be from the set of Desperate Housewives.
'So many houses have the American flag outside just like you see in the movies,' she said.
